There is a lot of "stuff” out there and you really do need to understand all of it.
Never trust the gurus, they will tell you their way of doing stuff – but they usually leave out the most important part – it would be naive to trust them completely, so you should always check things out. After, all they may well be internet millionaires, but, so far, you are not, and they may not want you to join them.
So, always check things put, then double check and find out from the source how to do each technique.
Now, realise that this takes time, time you could have spent blindly following their instructions and getting stuff done more quickly – but would you understand all the intricacies of what you had done? ((Do you want to?))
And, once you have mastered a particular method, then there is no need to waste time by writing it down – if you have done it once you can work it out again, even in a month or three’s time. And anyway even if you did write down the exact method on a slip of paper, the chances are that by the time you need it gain you will have lost the paper – or Microsoft will have changed the method anyway.
It’s very important to keep on top of the changing face of Microsoft – and Facebook, and Twitter, and YouTube and eBay and all the other services out there – best to make a list of titles – but don’t make it too long, two sides of closely written A4 should be sufficient.
And be diligent in checking them all out every couple of days or so.
It’s quite a good idea to have lots and lots of icons on your desktop. I know it does slow things down – but at least you can see what you have got, and you can always go and make yourself a coffee while your computer opens.
((For the impatient soul, try this – it speeded up my computer so much that now I barely have time to say "Abracadabra!|” before my computer is open and ready for business.
I simply opened a new file on desktop and then dragged all the icons except one copy of word, one notebook and my recycle bin into the new folder. Then I renamed my new folder "1 Stuff!” and even made a subfolder "2 Stuff2” for the work I am actually in the process of doing. Then I transferred this file to by C drive. By putting in the numbers, I have ensured that these are at the top of my list when I go to computer, and by choosing to save the list as icons I can see what I am doing just a clearly as if they all still came up on desktop and allowed me to make coffee while my computer thought about opening. This is strictly for the person who wants to succeed in internet marketing, though))
So, in conclusion, be sure to be certain exactly how everything you do is done and don’t rely on other people to help you. That way you will be sure to fail in Internet marketing.
